The Cork-born player joins a restructured and rejuvenated Rockets structure, under Head Coach Alan Keane, where he will be aiming to support the club’s push for titles.

O’Sullivan will be based in Reading for the new season, which will start in late summer, and will also contribute to the Rockets community activities. Hailing from an established and successful basketball family in his native Ireland, O’Sullivan will be a valued addition to the Reading Rockets family.

Reading Rockets Head Coach Alan Keane commented: “I’m delighted to have Adrian on board with us next season. He comes from very deep rooted, top quality basketball background. Adrian combines skill, high basketball IQ and tenacity, which go with a work ethic that will see him grow and get better game by game”.

Reading Rockets chairman Gary Johnson added: “I’m always thrilled to speak to the first new signing of the coming season, and what a pleasure it was in chatting to Adrian and listening to his goals, his ambition and his desire to be with Rockets. His enthusiasm is infectious. He’s a great opening signing and has already set the standards of the squad we’re looking to put together for the coming season. A superb asset whom the supporters will love.”

Adrian O’Sullivan said: “It is a dream come true for me to join Reading Rockets. I am really excited to be part of such a successful club. My personal goals are to improve myself as a basketball player, but also to grow as an individual. A huge part of the year ahead, and which I’m really excited about, is to become part of the greater Rockets community and to get involved with the younger kids, as well as creating new relationships within the club. The biggest goal is to get my hands on some silverware this season and I can’t wait to be a part of the hardworking mentality that is installed in the club.
