We are delighted to announce that the sharpshooting 5’11 guard Jaz Bains will be joining the team for the remainder of the season.
Jaz attended college at St. Lawrence College before heading to Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada. Across 104 games for both college and university he averaged 20.5 PPG, 4.9 RPG, and 4.7 APG.
Last season, he played in the Pro B in Germany for Fraport Skyliners Juniors where he achieved 8.4 PPG, whilst shooting an impressive 34.7% from 3-point range.
“Jaz is a great shooter and scorer,” Director of Basketball, Matt Johnson, states. He continues to say that “Jazz will be another shooting option for Alan to call on to provide more spacing on the court. We believe that this signing will add another level to our game and help us to continue to compete with the best in our division.”
Jaz will not feature in tomorrow’s game versus the Team Solent Kestrels, but we are looking forward to seeing him the Rocket red and black this season. Rocketeers, please join us in welcoming Jaz to our team!
