Reis Pinnock is back again!

Reis Pinnock returns for another term with the Rockets after a strong 2020/21 campaign which saw him average over 30 minutes a game across the season. Standing at 6’1”, Reis can occupy both guard positions and offers versatile, dynamic playmaking to Coach Pearson on both sides of the ball.

With just under a decade’s experience in British basketball at 25 years old, Reis’ career has seen him contribute to a number of highly successful teams in both the EABL and NBL D1. His professional career took off with the Loughborough Riders, for whom he played five seasons from 2015-20. His final season there saw him break in double-digit scoring for the first time in his career with 14.9PPG, and he tacked on over eight rebounds, four assists and a steal-and-a-half in an incredibly impressive statistical campaign.

A rare athletic talent, Reis can get up to gather rebounds at an astonishing rate for a guard his height and can then start the fastbreak himself with impressive speed down the court. This opens up great opportunities for Reis himself and for teammates, contributing to his strong assists numbers over the past few seasons. Pairing great energy and tenacity with his athleticism has enabled Reis to become a disruptive defender, snatching loose passes with explosive quickness and excellent reactions.

The bulk of Reis’ scoring is, again, a product of his impressive physical talents. With the speed to blow by his defender and the strength and balance to stay controlled at the rim, Reis is a dangerous finisher inside the paint with the potential for both powerful dunks and tough layups depending on the situation. As Reis settles in to his second year with the Rockets, Coach Pearson will be sure to find plenty of ways to get him involved with the offense as a dynamic force in transition and as a playmaker in the halfcourt. We can’t wait to see what he brings to the table this year as he takes to the court in the Rockets’ number 4 jersey!
